Whilst vertical radiators offer the space-saving advantages that standard LSTs perhaps do not, the standard grilles do pose a ligature risk. This is particularly important to note when working in mental health, challenging and secure environments where Service Users are vulnerable to self-harming tendencies.

With its 2mm holes at 4mm centres punched directly into the radiator guard, the risk of users securing rope or cord around an anchor point is greatly reduced.

Contour’s Vertical Anti-Ligature Radiator comes with BioCote® anti-microbial protection to ensure safety standards for hygiene are met. The presence of the anti-microbial technology offers a 99.5% reduction in bacteria levels in under 2 hours.

Radius edges and bullnose corners protect in the event of a slip or fall, and prevents edges being used for self harm.

Full drop down/removable door, allows full access for cleaning to maintain hygiene and heating efficiency in all environments.

An array of security fastenings which include Pin Hex and key locks can be used to ensure fast and simple access for staff but prevent unwanted opening by service users.

1.5-2mm Zintec Steel construction ensures robust performance in the most demanding of environments.
Magnelis Steel can be chosen for wet and humid environments such as ensuite bathrooms.

The IP3X rated grille, with 2mm holes at 4mm centres, prevents items being passed through the casing and reduces ligature points, whilst still allowing for ventilation to maximise heat output.

Two piece design allows for the frame to be sealed to the wall, whilst still allowing full access for cleaning through the drop down door.

All wall and floor fixing points are located internally to protect against non-permitted access, removal or manipulation.

A tapered, precision engineered, thermostatic radiator valve shroud which reduces the opportunity for the TRV to be used as an anchor point.

Standard Delivery

Standard delivery comprises radiator guard of choice, corresponding Compact emitter (Single Fin, Half Fin, Double Fin and Triple Fin as specified) and the option of a 90 degree Herz ½” valve kit (suitable for 15mm copper to copper connection on a two-pipe system)
An optional Rotarad rotary valve is available (not suitable for Triple Fin radiators)
Split delivery* to reduce the risk of radiator casings becoming damaged or lost on site, Contour offer split deliveries as standard on all LST radiators. Radiators and valves are delivered first then once the heating system is installed, tested and commissioned; casings are delivered. This virtually eliminates storage problems and the risk of on-site damage.

*Additional carriage charges will apply for multiple phases
