Covora Lite

Safe, robust and cost-effective, Covora Lite is a one-piece construction LST radiator with a much faster turnaround when compared with other Contour products. All end panels are manufactured and kept in stock ready for the front panel to be punched, this forward thinking ensures Covora Lite is delivered much quicker.

The strengthening ridges on the front of the cover allows for a stronger design whilst being more aesthetically pleasing.

Covora Lite also comes with easy to clean, narrow width ventilation grilles. This is to prevent the insertion of pens, pencils and other small items that could potentially damage the radiator itself.

Key Features

Manufactured in the UK, Covora Lite is a cost-effective LST radiator suited for classrooms and student accommodation. This one-piece construction radiator is finished in a RAL 9003 white powder coating as standard and has a much faster lead time than other Contour products.

Bullnose corners and half bullnose edges on the cover increase the product strength and reduce the risk of injury in the event of a fall against the cover.
The radiator cover is manufactured from 1 & 1.5mm Zintec Steel as standard and punched with 5.5mm wide radius grilles. The radius grille design makes it easier to clean, and the narrow grille width prevents small items and/or fingers getting trapped.
Available with Biocote® coating as standard for complete antimicrobial protection to ensure optimal hygiene maintenances.
Available in over 200 sizes across single convector, double panel plus and double convector emitter models.
The radiator cover is supplied as a one-piece unit complete with pre fabricated cut-outs for external valve head.
The radiator cover is polyester powder coated to an average thickness of 60 microns internally and externally, in RAL 9003 White as standard.
Easy to use external TRV head for remote adjustment.

The business case for specifying Covora Lite

Contour has enabled the NHS to potentially save over £35 million since 2006*

We’ve achieved this by developing the revolutionary DeepClean LST and anti-ligature guard range. On this basis here’s an example costing based on a hospital with 150 radiators that require a full weekly clean.

Traditional LST

2 person job involving estates personnel.

contour-time-icon-1

Conservatively estimate at least 30 minutes to remove 1 LST casing, clean casing internally, clean radiator, clean wall, clean floor and refit casing (wall & back of radiator cannot be cleaned). Excludes replacing silicon sealant around unit.

Vector (3)

7 hours working day = 14 LST radiator guards cleaned per day per team.

Group 206

Over 10 days required for 2 people to clean the 150 radiators in the property.

contour-2-person-job-icon-1

Weekly cleaning of these radiators would require 2 teams of two staff, both working at least 5 days a week to complete 1 cleaning cycle.

Group 245

An annual budget of at least £63,481.60 at the National Living Wage (£8.72 ph as of 19/5/21) would be required to clean all 150 radiators on a weekly basis.

DeepClean LST

Vector (4)

1 cleaning operative alone can now open the LST casing.

contour-time-icon-1

5 minutes to clean every internal surface of the casings and the radiator, including back of radiator and whole wall space. No need to replace sealant around units.

Vector (3)

In an avergae day of 7 working hours, 1 person can clean 84 radiators.

Group 206

Allow 2 days for 1 person to clean every radiatir in the property.

Vector (4)

Weekly cleaning would now realistically require only 1 dedicated cleaner, with little or no support from the estates department.

Group 245

At the National Living Wage (£8.72 ph as of 19/5/21) weekly cleaning of these radiatirs would cost the hospital £6,348.16 per year.
