TRV Valve Kits for LST Radiators

Contour’s Danfoss TRV valve kits bring together thermostatic controls, valve bodies and lockshields to suit a range of radiator installations. With external temperature adjustment, remote sensing and built-in sensor options, you can choose an arrangement that suits how the room temperature is measured and who needs access to the controls. Each arrangement is available with a conventional RA-N valve or an RA-DV Dynamic Valve™, which adds built-in pressure regulation and preset flow control to simplify system balancing. Our technical team can help you select the appropriate kit for your radiator, casing and project requirements.

Choosing your kit in three steps

Decide who controls the temperature, and from where. External adjuster (staff or occupant, outside the cover), remote sensor (head inside, sensor inside or outside) or internal sensor and control (everything inside the cover).
Choose your balancing method. RA-N with a lockshield for preset balancing; RA-DV Dynamic Valve™ for pressure-independent flow limitation set at the valve.
Confirm connections and access with our technical team so the kit, radiator and cover arrive as one specification — no retrofit surprises on site.

Kit 2

Remote Adjuster TRV Kit with RA-DV Dynamic Valve™

Combines a Danfoss RA 5062 remote temperature adjuster with an RA-DV DN15 angled Dynamic Valve™ and RLV-S DN15 angled lockshield. The adjuster provides room temperature sensing and adjustment outside the LST cover, with an 8–28°C setting range, frost protection, and options to limit or lock the temperature setting.

Designed for two-pipe heating systems, the RA-DV combines thermostatic control with built-in differential pressure regulation and automatic hydraulic balancing. Maximum flow can be set between 10–135 litres per hour, with the regulator maintaining the selected flow limit as system pressure changes within its operating range.

Kit 3

Aero remote sensor with RA-N valve

Combines a Danfoss Aero® thermostatic head with remote sensor, an RA-N DN15 angled valve body and RLV-S DN15 angled lockshield. The thermostat has a 7–26°C setting range, frost protection and provision for limiting or locking the temperature setting using limiter pins.

The head is fitted outside the cover or, at low level within the LST cover, with the separate sensor positioned outside and connected by a capillary tube extending up to 2 m. Suitable for two-pipe heating systems, the RA-N valve incorporates adjustable presetting to support hydraulic balancing.

The Aero® head uses a gas-filled thermostatic element for a faster response to temperature changes than conventional wax-filled heads.

Kit 4

Aero remote sensor with RA-DV valve

Combines a Danfoss Aero® thermostatic head with remote sensor, an RA-DV DN15 angled Dynamic Valve™ and RLV-S DN15 angled lockshield. The thermostat has a 7–26°C setting range, frost protection and provision for limiting or locking the temperature setting using limiter pins.

The head is fitted inside the LST cover, with the separate sensor positioned outside and connected by a capillary tube extending up to 2 m. Designed for two-pipe heating systems, the RA-DV incorporates differential pressure regulation and automatic hydraulic balancing, maintaining a selected maximum flow limit of 10–135 litres per hour as system pressure changes within its operating range.

Kit 5

Aero RA built-in sensor with RA-N valve

Combines a Danfoss Aero® RA thermostatic head with built-in sensor, an RA-N DN15 angled valve body and RLV-S DN15 angled lockshield. The thermostat has a 7–28°C setting range, frost protection and provision for limiting or locking the temperature setting using limiter pins.

Fitted directly to the valve inside the LST cover, the head automatically regulates water flow in response to the surrounding air temperature. No separate sensor or capillary tube is required, although suitable positioning and airflow are important to minimise the influence of heat within the casing. Temperature adjustment remains inside the cover, while the RA-N valve provides adjustable presetting to support hydraulic balancing in two-pipe heating systems.

Kit 6

Aero RA built-in sensor with RA-DV valve

The dynamic balancing upgrade to Kit 5, combining the Danfoss Aero® RA head with built-in sensor, an RA-DV DN15 angled Dynamic Valve™ and RLV-S DN15 angled lockshield. The thermostat retains the 7–28°C setting range, frost protection and provision for limiting or locking the temperature setting using limiter pins.

The built-in sensor regulates heating in response to air temperature inside the LST cover, with suitable positioning and airflow remaining important. The RA-DV adds automatic hydraulic balancing for two-pipe heating systems, combining thermostatic control with built-in differential pressure regulation. Maximum flow is set at the valve between 10–135 litres per hour before fitting the head, with the regulator maintaining the selected flow limit as system pressure changes within its operating range.

Kit 7

RAS-C² Radiator Pack with RA-N valve

Combines a Danfoss RAS-C2 thermostatic head with built-in sensor, an RA-FS angled valve body and matching RLV-D lockshield, with 15 mm compression connections for copper pipework. The thermostat provides an 8–28°C setting range, frost protection and a positive shut-off setting.

Designed for two-pipe heating systems, the RA-FS valve supports bi-directional flow and incorporates a flow-direction selector that can be adjusted without removing the valve. The built-in sensor automatically regulates radiator flow in response to the surrounding air temperature.

The RAS-C² head uses a liquid-filled thermostatic element that responds to surrounding air temperature to automatically regulate radiator flow.

Kit 8

RAS-C² Radiator Pack with RA-DV valve

The dynamic balancing upgrade to Kit 7, combining a Danfoss RAS-C2 thermostatic head with built-in sensor, an angled RA-DV Dynamic Valve™ and RLV-D lockshield. Supplied with 15 mm compression connections for copper pipework, the head retains the 8–28°C setting range, frost protection and positive shut-off setting.

Designed for two-pipe heating systems, the RA-DV adds built-in differential pressure regulation and automatic hydraulic balancing. Maximum flow is selectable between 10–135 litres per hour, with the regulator maintaining the selected flow limit as system pressure changes within its operating range.

The RAS-C² head uses a liquid-filled thermostatic element that responds to surrounding air temperature to automatically regulate radiator flow.

Choosing an RA-DV kit adds automatic hydraulic balancing to your selected control arrangement. Each radiator’s maximum flow is set at the valve and can be recorded on the radiator schedule, while built-in pressure regulation maintains the selected flow limit as system pressure changes within its operating range.

For specifiers and estates teams, this supports more consistent heat distribution and reduces the need for manual rebalancing as operating conditions change. Dynamic options are available across all four kit groups, retaining your chosen temperature control arrangement.
